So Mom, you going to sell this house, or what? We've had good traffic, a price reduction, but still no buyers. The stress levels rise as the break ground date on our new house approaches, but the optimism is still there... Today, was the first day that Owen discovered the sign in our yard. Usually we play in the back yard or at the playground, but we played out front this evening with the bubbles, and Owen modeled with the sign.... I feel like putting a caption on this photo on this listing, "Please help my Mom sell this house." What a cutie...

Oh and then there's the strong willed temper side of him... Yes, Virginia, this even keeled, charming child has a temper. Today definitely had its share of ups and downs. We had a good morning, a great breakfast, and got off to a good day at school. When I came to pick Owen up, he wasn't ready to go so we played for a few minutes together. He loves to show me things when I come to pick him up. As we left he went into a flailing, shoe throwing, full blown screaming temper tantrum. I really didn't even know why he was throwing such a fit. He was so mad on the ride home he pulled off his shoe and threw it at the windshield (yes, I know good arm!)... It's only about a 8 minute ride from school to home, but it felt like a 3 hour car trip. He screamed bloody murder, and nothing would calm him down.
He must have been exhausted... because I was so frustrated by the temper tantrum, he went straight to nap when we got home. He proceeded to sleep for 3 hrs and 45 min... Guess he was beyond tired.

When he woke from his nap, we went outside to play with the bubbles. Yesterday, when we went to play with Sofia, Ms. Robyn had these really cool bubble wands, and I had never even thought of doing that with Owen. It kept their attention for so long, so I quick ran out to the Dollar Store today and got Owen one. He had a ball.

And then it was time for dinner. Owen didn't feel like eating what Mommy prepared, so he wanted milk... We didn't give in this time, so he threw another temper tantrum. This time, we tried to get him to calm down and eat his dinner. But he went over the edge, and we had to let him out of his chair, and he just screamed in front of the fridge begging for milk "
muk". Mommy calmed him down, and we followed the doctors orders and made him wait an entire hour before giving him his cup of milk. The first 15 min was torturous, but he made it, and then he actually ate some fruit. Not quite a win for a dinner, but at least Mommy & Daddy feel like we came out a little victorious. When Owen is lazy he only wants to drink his meals. Our pediatrician wants us to start forcing the issue of him eating his meals, and cutting back on the milk.
It'll only take a few days he said, but the temper tantrums are exhausting. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little less bumpy.
